This is dependent on what you want from your laptop really, but there are a number of good offers out there at the moment. Getting a dongle deal that secures you a free laptop PC is your complete solution to mobile internet surfing and it needn’t cost you the earth either…

There are usually several deals that are quite similar when it comes to the free laptop ones, but at the moment there is a clear leader in popularlity. This offer is from 3 Mobile, and they have yet to be beaten on service and price as far as the free laptop is concerned.

So what’s the dongle deal?

The deal is this. You get yourself a free Compaq Presario CQ61 worth over £350 retail price. This particular laptop comes windows 7 ready and has its dongle for free! The laptop is a great one for the amount it will cost you per month to have your wireless connection too.

It’ll cost you a perfectly reasonable £30 a month on a 2 year contract. The two year contract is perfectly understandable, before you start complaining about the length, especially when you consider the value of the free laptop.

What else does this price buy you?

Well for this £30 you also get the following pretty standard features (some are more impressive than others):

5Gb of dowloads

Up to 7Mbs speed

Free dongle.

For all that’s listed above, we think that 3 Mobile have got it right finally, and they are offering a pretty middle of the road, reasonably priced dongle deal. It gets our thumbs up today.

Now that the whole word an his wife has gone wireless there are much more opportunities to take your PC anywhere you want in the house to do a spot of wireless interent surfing. This is great to get some quality time to yourself, but have you stopped to consider what sort of effect having a dongle and/or a wireless internet network in your home could have on your children?…

Children like to browse wirelessly too you know, and there is nothing they hate more than having their parents looking over their shoulder; particularly when they are messaging their new best friend about he hot boy in History class! So what can you do to ensure that they are wirelessly surfing the interent and chatting safely? (if that’s what you want them to do).

If your children (probably more than likely your teenager) has a dongle, it is worth knowing that you can get them with parental controls. This is well worth the money, and i think you will find that all major dongle providers (indeed all wireless internet providers) will have something in place for this kind of customer. Considering that children and teenagers spend more time on the internet than any other demographic group it would be ridiculous for the dongle companies and wireless service providers not to offer parental control dongles readily.

There are parents out there who care what their children see on the internet. Are you one of the?

You simply need a dongle in this day and age, and there are no two ways about it. If you’re out and about, or your a student who is sick to death of never being able to get onto the the University computers in the library then you need your own laptop and wireless interent connection don’t you?

As soon as you have your laptop you need a dongle in order to get online (unless you got your laptop free with your dongle deal that is). So which dongle should you get now that you’re ready to surf the internet, or study online? Well this is the big question and one that all the major wireless internet providers are fighting over answering for you.

This is why this website exists, in order for you to make an informed decision based on factors that accurately represent your own requirements; basically what you need! There’s no point in getting a dongle that you have to pay a lot for and only use half the amount of online time that it allows, or half the download allowance is there? Why would anyone want to pay for what they don’t need? You need to evaluate your usuage and then come back and see which dongle deal is for you.

Go away and work out just how often you’re online now at home, and how much time you’d estimate being online when you’re mobile. This would usually be around half the time you’re on at home. Now you’re able to check out the dongle deals online.

This is a post just to make you all aware that all the speeds advertised on many of the broadband dongle websites and adverts may not be the speed you can actually receive. There is still a very variable reliability and speed to the average wireless internet connection…

There are many factors that can effect the speed of your internet connection when you’re wired like the length of your cable from the telephone socket in your home, how many appliances are using the telephone connection, how many filters you have etc. Outside your home you have to consider how well the phone lines are maintained and how far from the main exchange they are too!

Well there are even factors to consider when you select a wireless broadband connection with a dongle. The distance from the telephone exchange and the nearest good signal are still a great factor in the speeds you can get. So ultimately you can be paying for up to 8Mbs but only be able to receive around 3-4Mbs because of where you live or where you work with your wireless internet device.

It really is important that you consider this when you choose a dongle deal, and review all the offers very carefully on this website and others before making a decision. It may also be advisable to consult an expert about your connection reliability and speed before you commit to buying a dongle package. If you do this, try not to become too paranoid about talking to the provider you’re thinking about buying from; they really can do without your business because they’re usually a pretty big company and they won’t need to rip you off.

Now all your kids are in University and they’ve settled down (well at least a little) there may well be some of them still looking for wireless internet connection. As parents you might be able to help pick up a few bills here and there, so why not pick one of the cheapest: the dongle deal…

Well the cheapest bill would probably be soap and cleaning products but that’s another post for another blog! The dongle is now part of every student’s kit, along with the obligatory bottle of Jack Daniels and the dreadful stain on the trousers that will never come out; ever!

So we make it our mission to dig out another student dongle deal for you. This one is from T-Mobile and it’ll only cost you £10 a month for the first three months and then up to £15 i think. You can’t get much better than this to give your child everything that they need and more from the internet.

They will get a free dongle, up to 4.5 MB of speed, 3 GB of download capacity, all on a nice short 18 month contract; so if they drop out of Uni you won’t have to keep paying the bill for them to sit at home and use that dongle deal to surf porn all day long in your lounge!

Students are usually skint! This is an empirical fact and no-one who has ever known or actually been a student could dispute it. It is largely there own fault yes, but none the less true. So they need cheap wireless broadband don’t they? And this means the very best dongle deals for the needs of the student…

Now sadly i know not all students are young, but for the purposes of this blog post and the delivery of information about dongles i am going to pretend that they are. So what providers can offer the students what they want these days? Students are pretty hard to please you know, especially when it comes to the internet and downloading and all that other stuff they get up to on there.

It’s a shrewd dongle provider who focuses on the student, simply because most students will live together but need to pay their way separately. 3 are offering a good deal for students at the moment and it only costs around £12 per month (and this isn’t including any voucher that you might be able to get hold of in the student union bar). For this £12 the student gets 5 GB of downloads per month (more than enough for the average music and video fan), speeds of up to 7.2 MB and all with a free dongle on an 18 month contract so they’re not tied down too much to the dreadful toil of paying a bill; they’ll be plenty of time for that after they graduate!
