So, tell me people, did you get a dongle for Christmas? Internet dongle sales look like they shot up again this year and it’s not surprising with the amount of people going online. Wifi dongles are the new thing to have when you’re out and about, and they keep you connected pretty much wherever you are…

I got my son a dongle for Christmas and it’s a pay as you go dongle. It seems to be doing him the job it’s supposed to, but i’m not sure i’m going to get any of his chores done while he carries around his new laptop and dongle from room to room surfing interent porn! I’m just kidding of course, he’ll do this in the privacy of his own room i’d imagine!

The pay as you go dongle helps him because he’s a student and he’s on a low income (when his loan has disappeared anyway; then i become his new best friend). So what he will inevitably begin to do is top up his internet dongle just like he tops up the credit on his mobile phone; well, i imagine that’s how it will work. Goodness me, i can remember when there was no such thing as a mobile phone, and the newest thing out there was a keypad telephone!

Anyway, if you have a laptop and you need to work or surf on the go, you need to get hold of an internet dongle. Internet dongles are available all over the place really, but you should find a few ideas on this website.

Good luck

Most of you will think that a dongle is a ridiculous name for a device that provides mobile, wireless internet, and you’d be right. But there is no disputing that dongles have revolutionised the communications world in ways that we in the 1970s could have only dreamed about…

The name originates from nothing really, the creators couldn’t think of a good name for a dongle so they called it a dongle because it simply sounded a bit funny; and a bit rude!

Dongles now provide hundreds of thousands of people with reliable wireless internet across the country. Depending on your package, a simple USB plug in dongle can provide hours of internet usuage. This is why pay as you go dongles are becoming very popular these days. Young people in particular, who don’t have access to the same financial resources as their parents are all opting for pay as you go dongles; having said that, it’s probably the parents who are paying for it anyway. Getting a pay as you go dongle has quite literally become as easy as topping up your mobile phone.

My daughter uses a dongle for her laptop and i’ve never looked back since i first introduced her to it. Now she pays for her own online time, particularly useful to her because she spends most of her time outside of the house! These teenagers never stand still these days; they’re all sitting in Starbucks trying to look cool with their laptop and Starbucks logo on their cup! When did Starbucks become such a fashion accessory, that’s what i’d like to know?

Anyway, get your teenagers out of your hair, get yourself mobile with an internet dongle.

I’ve been looking at these free laptop deals with your dongle broadband packages. Many people will opt for this because they don’t want the initial outlay of a laptop computer; it’s a very clever sales pitch really, but just how good is it for you?

Well i was looking on a website only this morning, searching for dongle deals as a matter of fact, and i came across a website advertising the free laptop thing.

The first one i saw was a laptop that offered all the jazzy gadgets: fantastic speakers, low temperature on the hand pad where the mouse is etc etc, and a free dongle too. It all looked absolutely fabulous, and a steal at £25 per month.

Now i don’t know too much about how long individuals will be online, or what they want to download etc, so i can’t tell you if a download limit of 3GB is good or bad. Keep this in your mind if you do know, and i’ll continue. The next thing i noticed was that the maximum speed was 7.2 mb. Now i think that’s not too bad really, based on my experience, and more than enough for what the average user wants. It’s not high speed broadband or anything but it’ll do. And finally the cost of the actual laptop (although it’s free when you sign up for the montly plan) was £140.

Now, here’s the thing. The contract is for 24 months. Now this is alright if you know you’re going to use it a lot, but when i worked out what £25 a month is for 25 months i got £625. Now considering the laptop only costs £140, we could argue that the deal stops being a good one. I suppose it’s down to the individual really. Just consider this when you’re out buying a broadband dongle.

Well what a thing to say! I mean really! Oh no, we’re not talking about the same thing are we? That’s the other blog i write. These dongles are for wireless internet access of course. If you’ve got a dongle you’ll know what i’m talking about, and if you haven’t then read on to have your eyes open…

What is a dongle? and what can i do with it?

Well a dongle is just a simple piece of harware that plugs into your laptop (usually the USB port) to allow you to access wireless internet while your out and about.

You can use your dongle in many different PCs and laptops, it doesn’t really matter because your wireless internet service is usually paid for the amount of time you spend on the internet, not what your dongle is plugged into.

You can use them just about everywhere in the UK. I’m not to sure about other countries and their coverage, but i know you can use them abroad.

You do not need a landline at home to have a broadband dongle. Dongles work independently of any current phone lines you have, they are literally a simple plug in and play type thing.

So that’s given you a litle information about dongles in one post, just in the even that you didn’t fancy looking all over the website again. If you want to spend more time researching dongles then this site does have some excellent resources and links to help you on your way,

So you want to surf the internet but you don’t want a contract, and you don’t want to stay at home. Of course that’s what you want. It’s what i wanted. And what i discovered was that, just like mobile phones, i could get an internet dongle to help me acheive that. Pay as you go dongles are the way forward for many people, especially those on a lower than average budget, or those who are watching what they spend. There are many advantages to using a pay as you go dongle and in this post we explore the different dongle options that are available for people looking to but a new internet dongle on a pay as you go plan.

It was my daughter who got me into this internet dongle business. I’m a little bit of a technophobe to tell the truth, and a while ago i wouldn’t have been able to tell you the difference between a dingle, a dangle or a dongle, never mind something like a wifi dongle. You can find out all about dongles on this site if you want as the sole focus of this website is internet dongles and how to compare them and get the best deal when you buy a new dongle wither on pay as you go or on a monthly plan.

My daughter wanted the internet and i wouldn’t let her have it for ages at home. Then she told me about dongles and how she wouldn’t necessarily have to bother me too much, or indeed interfere with my own internet connection, so i agreed to get her a dongle. Now she has a pay as you go dongle that she can managed whenever she wants to go online herself. Now she’s usually online when she’s not in the house anyway, so a dongle is the perfect choice for her. I would imagine that she’s usually sitting on her backside in a coffee shop with her laptop and her internet dongle, sitting over the same cup of hot chocolate for three hours, no doubt really upsetting the manager!

Find Out About The Two Kinds of Mobile Broadband Dongles

The term dongle, is quite new and unfamiliar to most people, it refers to the portable USB device that is designed to provide broadband internet access to people whenever and wherever they may be.

The UK markets are starting to open up space for both fixed priced and prepaid broadband dongles because of how cost-friendly and convenient these portable devices are. The dongle is embedded with High-Speed Downlink Packet Access technology that enables laptops to use mobile broadband and gain access to the World Wide Web.

This piece of technology has gained a lot of popularity that several broadband operators such as Orange, 3, and Vodafone are experiencing an increase of sales and traffic to their network.

There are two kinds of broadband dongles: Contract Dongles and pay as you go dongles.
For those who wish to have constant internet access wherever they go without having to worry about instant payment would normally go for the fixed plans.
Vodafone currently offers 7.2 MB for £15 per month while 3’s dongles come free with most internet packages for just £10 per month. But of course, there are instances when you do not need to use the internet and would only go online if needed, so they would normally prefer a pay as you go dongle.

Here, you only have to pay for the charges of your last internet usage and gain access to the World Wide Web at a limited period of time depending on the amount of credits you have.

Dongles are still new pieces of technology entering the UK markets, but a lot of consumers are turning to dongles because of its convenience, portability, and costs. It is a lot more practical and people are able to still experience fast and strong internet speed thanks to 3G technology. With the financial crisis going on, this seems like the best alternative to expensive internet charges that must be paid every single year.

If you’ve encountered phrases like mobile broadband, mobile modems, and mobile broadband dongles, then you’ve probably caught tidbits of one of the newest members in the UK telecom markets today. All over the country people are turning to what is known as a dongle, a portable USB device which is plugged in to the laptop and that provides internet access wherever and whenever the user wishes.

This piece of technology is especially suitable for laptop users, travelers, and executives who are often moving from one place to another and still require internet access for business purposes. With dongles, people are able to download as much as 3 GB of data and can still communicate no matter where they are located. It is also a lot cheaper and more convenient than LAN technology, making it a possible alternative to expensive internet services.

Who are providing dongles? Leading ISPs such as Vodafone, Orange, 3, and T-mobile are now competing with one another with internet packages that come with their own respective mobile broadband dongles. These are normally provided for free whenever someone wishes to subscribe to a particular ISP and they come in two kinds: fixed price plans or prepaid/pay as you go. With fixed plans, you can instantly gain access to the internet without having to worry about loss of connection due to unpaid dues. This is most suitable for business executives and users who constantly use the internet wherever they go. For prepaid dongles, these are preferred by users who only go online when required. Here, you only gain access within a limited period of time depending on how many credits are available.

Of course, picking a particular brand would mean constant analysis and comparison. It is best to browse through articles about mobile broadband dongles, compare prices between companies, and see which one best suits one’s preferences and regular internet usage.

Today’s technology continues to progress with more and more changes, advances, and simplifications for the fast-paced society. We hear different terms for new inventions, see the developments of some of the finest technology being sold in the market, and of course feel and experience how things have become even more simplified thanks to these add-ons and modifications. This article, with this in focus, features what are known as mobile internet dongles, which is currently entering the UK internet markets at such a fast pace.
AOL, Eclipse, and Freedom2Surf are just some of UK’s main internet service providers aiming to provide mobile internet dongles to be able to cater to the growing number of people in the market who are turning to 3G mobile internet access. This type of technology is especially convenient for those who are often on business trips, who are always on the go and who cannot stay at a fixed internet source. People are now purchasing plug-and-play USB internet modems that use HSDPA technology that enables notebook users to log on to the internet using fast mobile broadband no matter where they are located in the country.

There are a lot of interesting features about the mobile internet dongles being sold by major operators in the UK, causing even a tight price competition between operators such as Vodafone and T-mobile.

Consumers want their utilities to be convenient, fast, and of course affordable. Because of the great perks that they are getting from mobile dongles, many are fast turning to this type of technology that experts are now seeing a significant transition from stable, fixed-priced LAN technology to plug-and-play, mobile broadband connection. Another positive point about dongles is that it is being offered at a fixed priced plan, giving users the chance to download and log on as much as they want without having to worry about extra charges.

The Benefits of Mobile Broadband Dongles

There are new technologies emerging all the time in our world, some of them are more beneficial than others. The technology and the benefits of mobile broadband dongles are an extremely innovative and helpful for anyone in need of a solution for taking their internet life with them, on-the-go. If your daily routine involves spending any amount of time in front of a computer connected to the internet, then an internet dongle is a solution that will allow you to connect to the internet from your laptop by connecting a device to your laptop that are commonly referred to as “Dongles”.

The use and implementation of this technology means that people who were restricted to being at a stationary location for internet access, will now be able to go about other daily tasks or leisure’s while simultaneously being able to connect to the internet from virtually any position in the world. For home based internet business owners, this means that they now have the opportunity to take their already above average amount of freedom from work, to a new level of enjoyment!

The Benefits of Mobile Broadband Dongles for Shopping

One of the benefits of the mobile broadband dongle is that now people will have access to research and compare any data almost instantly from wherever they are at. This means that if you were thinking of making a large purchase of any type of item, then you could connect to the internet via your dongle from where you are at and take some time to research prices and reviews of your potential purchase before you make a commitment. This is helpful in obtaining fair pricing and the best value when making purchases such as buying a new vehicle or even just purchasing gas, you could locate the closest and cheapest gas prices within a few seconds from anywhere you were at.

Selecting and Comparing the Benefits of Mobile Broadband

When you are looking for a Mobile Broadband provider, you should compare the benefits of mobile broadband within each company, to decide upon which works best for your application. There benefits are at least slightly different from one another which make a review and comparison of the benefits an almost definite requirement prior to selecting your mobile broadband provider.

The Cost of Mobile Broadband

The pay system for mobile broadband providers, all have their own uniqueness, yet they also share most of the same qualities and structures. There are some broadband providers who offer a pay as you go type of plan and then others who offer a set monthly payment for different amounts of data access. If you are a heavy internet user then you should sign up with a broadband mobile provider who offers a monthly plan that will satisfy the amount of connection time or data amount that you require.

If you are only using mobile broadband to connect every now and then to check an email or look at a website, then a pay as you go option might better suit your needs. This would ensure that you won’t be paying any monthly payments in times when your use is limited.
