It will soon be September, and before you know it you, or your children will be off to university to begin a new era of life and education. However, this life needs a wireless internet connection, so the best thing you can do is to sort out your dongle and laptop now in order to secure a good deal; you can bet that some of the dongle providers will raise their prices when it gets nearer to the beginning of term…

So what are the main qualities a student looks for in a dongle deal?

Cheap dongles

Dongles with fast speed

Dongles with good coverage

Dongles with high download allowances for gamers etc

Dongles with free laptops

Well there aren’t many that can provide all that, but some of those features can be found in a nice compromise by some providers. Taking into account the first one on the list – the Cheap Dongles factor – we can see that a pretty obvious choice would be the one below from Vodafone.

Dongle costs £19.99

Monthly cost thereafter £3.00

Usuage limit 3GB (this is pretty good)

Average Speed 7.2Mb

Minimum contract length of 1 month

This is a perfect dongle for students since they are only obliged to pay for their dongle monthly and they can cancel at any time. The one month contract is sure to get the student dongle market, and it leaves us wondering what the other dongle providers are likley to do in competition.

If you want to be mobile and use the internet froma laptop then you need a dongle. A mobile phone with internet access might do if you want one, but i’ve always found that the damn screen size really screws things up for me; i have bad eyes and i need something much bigger to look at…

When you get a dongle you can plug it into your laptop and off you go; as much surfing as you need. If your dongle is primarily for work use you don’t need to buy all the latest and greatest ones really. You can do an awful lot with just a basic dongle, and if all you need to do is get online (especially for work purposes,) then why would you choose anything expensive?

One of the cheapest options these days is from Vodafone, and it’s pretty damn cheap at around £20 a month. The dongle is absolutely free! For this price you get some of the best dongle deals around.

4GB of data each month

24 month contract is £7.50 for the first 3 months!

PC Protection

The PC protection is a nice feature, and when you get a dongle from vodafone you get this. It includes anti-virus and anti-spyware software that allow you to surf the internet on the go safely and securely. There is also a feature to allow you to put parental controls on to keep your children from visiting any websites that may be deemed dangerous or otherwise inappropriate.

So get a cheap deal, and play safely too!

What do you want for Christmas? Quote me no Mariah Carey songs please! You want, nay, you need, an internet dongle. If this festive season is going to see you out and about at various friends houses or travelling the world then you’ll need a good dongle; i never tire of the how funny that sounds!

You can bet that internet dongle prices will be lower at Christmas in the hope to get all the business. Dongle manufacturers and retailers are already checking their competitors releases for the festive season, and trying desperately to discover the best dongle deals on the internet before it’s too late to change their own. It’s out and out dongle warfare!

But if you’re lucky you could grab yourself a good dongle deal right now. It’s only a matter of researching all the dongles out there. You can go to your local shops if you like, but the internet is really the best place to begin. You can find dongle reviews and general information and links on this site if you like; or alternatively, just do a generic search on the internet for “Dongles” or “Dongle”. You’re sure to come across something that’s relevant.

I bought my wife a dongle last Christmas. No, not one of those dongles from Ann Summers! I’m talking about an internet dongle. You lot have filthy minds, and there’ll be no prizes for guessing what you’ll all be doing with your dongles when you get them.

Do you Christmas shopping research early and find out all you can about the best dongle deals!
